How do London teams book Edinburgh business hotels?
The usual route is a consumer booking site per trip, which costs the booker twenty to forty minutes and gives no negotiated terms. Is NovaBid free for our London team?
Yes. NovaBid is free for SMBs. There is no markup, no booking fee, no subscription. The commission (12% standard, 10% for founding partners) is paid by the hotel as the cost of winning your booking, and it never gets added to the rate you see.
How is this different from Booking.com or Expedia?
On Booking.com you search the rates a hotel has published and book one of them. NovaBid works the other way round: you describe what you need, and independent hotels reply privately with an offer for that specific booking, knowing they are one of several answering it. Our commission is 10% for founding partners and 12% standard, charged to the hotel only on a paid booking. We are new, so we are not going to quote you an average saving we cannot yet evidence, and we are not going to quote you anyone else's commission rate either.
How long does it take to get offers back?
We don't promise a fixed response time, hotels review requests on their own schedule, and the answer depends on the city, the dates, and how far ahead you post. The further out and the more flexible your brief, the stronger the selection. While we sign our founding cohort, new requests are held and open to hotels the moment they join, we'll email you when offers start. You set a deadline when you post; nothing happens until you actively accept an offer.
