Plan a business stay in Edinburgh from ChatGPT
NovaBid can be added to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server. ChatGPT can then explain how NovaBid works, check whether we cover a city, and prepare your trip request with the details filled in. You check it and post it yourself.

Prepare a trip request
A summary of your trip and a link to the NovaBid trip form with the city, dates, budget and needs filled in. You open it, check it and post it yourself.
It only reads. It never posts a trip, books a room or takes a payment.
How to add it
- In ChatGPT, open Settings, go to Apps and turn on developer mode under Advanced settings. On a work plan an admin may need to do this.
- Go to Apps and choose Create (or open chatgpt.com/plugins and choose Create custom MCP server).
- Name it NovaBid, add a short description, and paste the address below as the server address.
- Choose no authentication. The server is public and read-only.
- Read the warning about custom servers, confirm, and let ChatGPT scan the tools.
- Create it, then pick NovaBid from the tools menu in a chat or mention it in your message.

Whether you can add a custom MCP server depends on your ChatGPT plan and, at work, on your organisation’s settings. OpenAI’s help centre has the current details.

What is sent to NovaBid
When ChatGPT uses the server, it sends only what the tool needs: the city, dates, number of guests and rooms, budget and any needs you mention. Not your name or email address.
We use those details to answer and do not save them in our database. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (such as IP address, time and page).
The link ChatGPT gives you carries the trip details in the web address, so they stay in your browser history. Your conversation with ChatGPT is held by OpenAI under its own terms, not ours.
